Feeding the engine.

Take my word for it folks, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you have aspirations of being a skinny dude and want to skip a meal, heed not the words of Claudia Schiffer, skip dinner. Breakfast is holy.

After moving to the USA last year, TTTE and Mrs TTE struggled to find a suitable breakfast food. A cursory glance at their nutritional information reveals that most American breakfast cereals are a bonanza of high fructose corn syrup. No thank you.

Thankfully, salvation comes in the form of Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Benner, whose teachings, together with locally available ingredients allow me to introduce TTTE (and Geoff)’s Muesli.

Ingredients:

Rolled Oats

Dried sultanas

Dried cranberries or dried apricots

Chopped roasted almonds

Honey roasted or plain sunflower seeds

Linseed/flax seeds

Sesame seeds

Steps:

(1) Buy a big jar.

(2) Mix all the things together.

(3) Add some plain yogurt and a chopped banana.

(4) go forth well-fed!
