Dihydrogen Monoxide and the Truth.

This blog rarely advocates.  I rather present the facts.  But an alarming situation has come to my attention, and I want you to care.

Did you know that Dihydrogen Monoxide tragically kills thousands of people every year through accidental inhalation?  Awareness of this dangerous chemical compound is slowly filtering through to the general population.

There is a movement to have it banned called the Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division.  I’m not saying you have to take action, but I urgently advise you to check out their site.

Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance.

Dihydrogen monoxide:

  • is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is a component of acid rain.
  • contributes to the “greenhouse effect.”
  • accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
  • has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

In densely populated first-world cities, dihydrogen monoxide is present in the air in trace quantities.  It has also been found in the catchment areas and reservoirs that service our population centres.  The compound is even now found in the globe’s ice-caps.

Uses

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

  • as an industrial solvent and coolant.
  • in nuclear power plants.
  • in the production of styrofoam.
  • as a fire retardant.
  • in many forms of cruel animal research.
  • in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
  • as an additive in certain “junk-foods” and other food products.

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its “importance to the economic health of the nation.” Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

  1. Very, very dangerous substance, though I’m glad to hear some action is being taken to prevent unsuspecting consumers from purchasing it in bottled varieties…
